From Passion to Purpose
“Wherever you go, go with all your heart.” – Confucius
Hello, I’m Gaynor, a Usui-Tibetan Reiki teacher dedicated to helping others find balance, healing, and self-discovery. My journey has been shaped by life’s twists and turns, and I’ve spent many years exploring yoga, pranic healing, meditation, and breathwork—practices that I now integrate into my Reiki training to offer a holistic approach.
From a young age, growing up in England, I was attuned to the energies around me, though I didn’t fully grasp their significance at the time. In my 20s and 30s, I ventured beyond familiar borders—first volunteering in India, then living and working in Germany, the Sinai, and Singapore, before moving to Thailand. Over the years, I returned to India many times, learning from several spiritual mentors. (I even married a Tamil martial artist/doctor of natural medecine – but that’s another story!)
Alongside these journeys, I built a career in drama and communications, but it was the discovery of Reiki that truly transformed my life. Reiki sparked a deep passion within me, drawing together all my previous experiences into a meaningful whole and reminding me that I am always a work in progress. It has illuminated a path of healing and self-discovery that I now love to share with others. In these transformative times, nurturing positivity, love, and light has never been more important, and I feel privileged to be part of that collective with my students and clients.

I run Reiki 1&2 training courses in the peaceful mountains of Chiang Mai, and I also offer Reiki therapy to individuals seeking healing and balance. To make Reiki accessible to everyone, no matter where you are, I offer live online courses—creating a personal, interactive experience where you can learn and practise Reiki from anywhere. Additionally, I provide distance Reiki healing treatments, ensuring that the transformative power of Reiki is always within reach.
I invite you to explore Reiki’s healing potential and begin your own journey of empowerment and self-discovery.
What is Reiki
Simply put, Reiki is a gentle, hands-on healing practice that channels energy to promote relaxation, balance, and overall well-being. By stimulating the body’s natural healing abilities, it helps reduce stress and restore harmony within the mind, body, and spirit. Many people turn to Reiki for relief from tension, emotional blockages, physical pain, and various illnesses, while others use it as a tool for personal growth and spiritual connection.
During a Reiki treatment, you can experience deep relaxation, mental clarity, and a renewed sense of energy, along with healing on multiple levels. Reiki helps you navigate life with greater ease and balance, fostering overall wellbeing. But don’t take my word for it – as my own wonderful Reiki teachers always say, “See what Reiki can do for you!”

The Benefits of Reiki, Growing Awareness and Research
Reiki is becoming more mainstream as a healing modality, particularly in the past couple of decades. It’s gaining wider recognition and acceptance in various wellness and medical communities as people seek alternative therapies alongside traditional treatments. Reiki is now often offered in places that focus on holistic well-being, such as wellness centres, spas, and private clinics. Additionally, many hospitals and healthcare systems in some countries (United States, UK, Canada) are beginning to incorporate Reiki into patient care, especially as part of complementary and integrative therapies. Reiki is used as part of integrative medicine to help patients manage pain, reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep, and promote overall wellbeing during their recovery or treatment process.
